Your minds would be blown if you ever bought a tabloid newspaper in the UK... specifically called 'the sun' and looked on page 3. I never knew you guys were so sensitive about what classifies as pornography and will make note of it in future posts, sorry for the distress this has not/has caused.

Not being gay myself I find it hard to relate to how someone would be gay, but I do think it could somewhat partialy be genetic with your life experiences having some ivolvement aswell.

I think its mostly part to life experiences, society and place in it, and all that jazz. but i dont deny genetics could have a part in it.

I think making a big deal of it by default generates more discrimination by making it into an 'issue'. As soon as we stop fussing over it, we will be in a society that will de-facto accept it.

I gotta say, amidst all the random stuff, there is actually some good points round here. I think that the idea of it being 50/50 between experince and genetics is probably accurate. But then again i ain't to sure after i had Sir Iain Mcellen come to my school to talk about homosexuality and homphobic bullying ( My school has a real strict policy against it about six of my mates got after school detentions just for saying the word gay in lesson. And dyke but that was actually a rather bad joke about a male maths teacher) and when one of us asked him when he first realised that he was gay that it he realised when he was about 13 or something. He said that some kids in his class were sneaking some rude images round under their table of nude girls or something random like that and when he looked he didn't feel anything.

But i mean is that genetic or experince?

    Check is out everyone ^^^^

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I think that Homosexuality doesn't occur when you are born, it occurs due to the events that have happened to you personally throughout life. I mean, when we're born, we don't automatically know what our sexuality is. Sometimes exploration and research is needed to really understand what appeals to you the most. But this is all my opinion. I am not homosexual/bi-sexual myself so I don't really have experience. But I do know many homosexuals at my school and in my choir and they have explained to me on certain occasions why they chose their path. From what little I can recall (yes this was a long time ago), one explained how he was raised and he used to being around men and not very many woman, so I guess that is a understandable reason. But yet again, I am not an expert on how one chose their own sexuality.

Unsurprising. This idiot couldn't even make a post in the Dating Forum members thread without mentioning that he was straight at least 6 or 7 times.
