That's not what I was doing, if you would actually read what I mean. I have no problem with theists, my current girlfriend is a devout Jew in fact. But, I dislike people who use it as a justification for taking away people's freedom, you know people like the WBC, KKK, fundamentalists in general.

It's not readily apparent to you that what you said is incredibly belittling to theism and theists because you don't actually face your own ego. It's subconsciously (or skimming the surface of your consciousness, perhaps) accepted in your mind that theists are the only sorts of people that would support something like this and that they are in general trying to take humanity back a few pegs. But that's not what you said. You said "ignorant fucks ... insist on shoving religion down everyone's throat." You directly linked religion and ignorance. Even when the poster was an avid atheist, and indeed appears to be an anti-theist, you assumed that he was religious. When you go into an argument, discussion, or just random daily events, you assume that the backwards ideas are religious idea. That's a problem.
Oh, that's what this is about! Now, I have to apologize deeply and sincerely, I misworded what I said. I did not mean to imply that theists are ignorant fucks. I know plenty of religious friends who are awesome people. When I said "ignorant fucks" I did not mean all theists. I was trying to convey "ignorant fucks"=homophobes,fundamentalists, ect. I was not linking religion and ignorance, I was linking ignorance and religious intolerance. Yes, I know that atheists can be ignorant too, but you have to admit that atheist homophobes are pretty few and far between, and as such I've never met one.
