Thanks ;) you stole the words from my mouth. Let's not forget that the Obama administration also opposes the Defense of Marriage Act, specifically Section 3 of the law. Yes, Democrats can oppose previous Democratic-supported decisions.

But we're totally losing track here. Let's get back to abortion.

No, Obama will not sign it, and it probably won't pass the federal Senate anyways.

Yet another reason to add to my list of why I hate Republicans. It is also more prove of how just plain stupid they are.

I thought that he meant that because Obama is a Democrat he would veto the bill. My mistake. But here is the American system working.

So doctors would be allowed to do this even without any of the woman's family's consent? this doesn't sound just wrong, but also Un-Constitutional, this shit better get veto'd or else I foresee a riot happening.

It wont pass, don't bother it if your disagree.
Also, your foolish to generalize it and say that ALL House Republicans believe this.
Why don't you just say all Muslims are Jihadists?

ALMOST EVERY SINGLE Republican(236 to be exact) voted yes except two who voted no and three who didn't vote at-all. It's wasn't a generalization, it's pretty much the truth.

Doesn't amendment 4 of the U.S. Constitution say people can be secure in their Persons therefor it is not the government right to say anything about a woman's body? or something?

Amendment 4 - Search and Seizure. Ratified 12/15/1791.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

We actually had a discussion about religion in American politics. Obviously, the United States is fairly religious, so, even the most un-religious candidates must declare faith or lose. Very interesting stuff.

You see, the only republicans who are really bringing religion into the mix are the tea party. And Rick Perry.

As are all Congressmen and 99% of presidential candidates. The overwhelming majority of the planet is religious, the US in particular is dominated by Protestantism. It makes sense that our elected officials are predominantly Protestant.
