How do I know he is going to kill people if I can't prove it? We live in a society ruled by law, where the authorities are meant to handle these kinds of situations.

Well the cops are not going to help, should you not try to stop him if you can? I guess that does not neccisarilly mean killing him, so here is a different example. you live in country where a brutal dictator is in charge, you are in a position to assasinate him and end his regime, do you do it?

I get the feeling you are trying to be difficult just for the fun of it, or that you are stupid.

Is he committing atrocities? If so, would killing him ensure an end to these atrocities, or would another member of his organization simply take his place? Honestly civil resistance is the more moral option.

Hidden option c, none of the above.

I would step away from trying to come up with examples.

That's usually what Brutal Regime entails, and no killing him would bring about the callapse of his regime. I am going to sleep and will come back to this tommorow.

Well he was just being difficult and knew what I was getting at and so do you, is killing someone to save lives ok? I will reply back to whatever your response is tommorow.

You come home one night, And you find some one you don't know standing over the dead body of someone you care about with their head bashed their dead but you could tell they died in fear by the look on their face , And the killer has a hammer in his hand, As he walks passed you to leave he smiles, Obviously happy about what he did and once his back is turned to you, You realize that you could easily grab a knife off of the table, Sure you could call the cops but by the time they got there He,d probably be long gone, And maybe he even get's away with it, Would you take that knife and kill him ?

( Messed up I know, But I found it kinda werid earlier that you said killing for revenge was Monstrous)

I would consider this killing while consumed by passion, and perfectly justifiable, while not the most righteous thing to do.

Wasn't the topic question asking if you would kill someone if you knew you could get away with it, not if killing a human being under certain conditions (whoops) is justifiable?

Killing someone unless it is for someone's survival or your survival is immoral.

First I killed this guy on the street, and got away with it. I then developed paranoia and started killing other people who obviously knew about my first killing. I couldn't be stopped and within days I killed the entire population of Chicago, obviously New York knew of my killing and I had to kill them next. So I went across the world and in every city I killed people because they knew of my first killing.

Eventually I killed the majority of the planet, I'm going to visit Oslo next.

What about the people on the space station? Surely they have heard of the killing by now.

From a moral point of view, I'd say no. But I'm afraid that moral will play a very small role in this utopia...
