Official In Regards to Kalalification’s Moderator Status

He hasn't done anything wrong, he has never been warned, banned, or anything or that ilk. As it stands I believe I am the only mod who has ever been given a warning. His behavior has caused people to start demonizing him, leading time and time again to this situation. We do not; however, eject moderators because they are unpopular, nor should we start.

Lack of conviction is not the same as abundance of innocence.

So should we start doling out punishment for having a bad attitude? Or are you just willing to bend the rules because you hate Kali that much?

What are you talking about? Kali is not under fire because he "has a bad attitude". That would be childish. He's under fire (originally and in the most simplistic sense) for harassing and attacking people of the forum. Specifically, the Communists/Socialists.

What? Bend the rules? No, enforce the rules. But because we are given no option for justice in this current state, we request change to it. Your slanderous lies are false.

Even though I do agree he shouldn't be removed as a mod, he's not the only one being attacked from sole purpose of hate, he does that too and that's totally unprofessional in a way. As I said earlier, I wouldn't mind him being a dick, the problem is that he clearly harasses/attacks select members of this forum, namely Ler.

I've been with this forum since the first day, so I've seen a lot of Kali's posts, though I don't post much myself. I like Kali and I think he is a good moderator, but I cannot ignore the fact that he has, many times, insulted people based on their opinions. This is a fact that no one can ignore or try deny. I have a great deal of respect for Kali, but he ruins that for himself by acting juvenile and refusing to listen to the other side of the argument, even if they are wrong (listening =\= agreeing).

I must also say, that the very existence of this thread means that there is something wrong with Kali's "administration." If so many people have made a noise about Kali that even Stalin has to intervene and call a vote then there is something that needs to be discussed. Kali is a brilliant member of this forum and has strong convictions that should be admired, but the way he presents them causes offense and unneeded drama. I'm reminded of a thread he made some months ago where he posed the question "Are communists stupid or dirty and stupid?" What's the point of posting this obviously antagonizing thread, just to insult a fairly significant portion of the uesrbase? For "teh lulz?" Very mature.

So, what I'm saying is, Kali, I personally respect your opinions and the way you can debate, but you mar your own honor by childish insults and petty grudges. I think you are an excellent addition to this forum, but you have to follow the same rules as everyone else. You can't represent the forums as long as you continually defame others, and, at the same time, yourself. Please, step down as moderator.

Why can't his removal of moderator be temporary, I personally say do that for about two weeks or a month and then allow him back in.

Since I started posting, I have seen that Kali is a good moderator. But I have to admit that he needs to cut down on the harassing. His aggressive and sometimes ignorant posts have caused him to look like "The Bad Guy" on the forums.

I vote that he keeps his moderator status.

Well if it's not because he's breaking rules, which has been established that he isn't. Harassment is against the site rules. It's not because he's ineffective as a staff member. It must boil down to his attitude. I've seen the word "dick" get thrown around a lot. I'm not going to sit here and deny him being a dick but we don't punish people for being a dick nor should we start.

Kicking one guy off does not constitute a change. It more closely resembles a vendetta.

This should not even be up to vote. Kali is one of the best moderator when it comes to moderating.Removing him would only screw up the efficiency of the site, not stop him from being a dick. Anybody who wants him removed is a selfish asshole.

I personally though, believe that Moderators are not only supposed to just follow the rules and moderate, but should be people that aren't complete and utter assholes. Constantly harrasing other people (Especially Ler) and making a point to be a dick should not be the qualities of ANY moderator.

A moderator is someone who you can look to because they are outstanding members of the community. Kalalfication is not outstanding, other then himself being a jerk. That's about it.

First of all I must tell you Skyicewolf that your signature is gigantic, please make it smaller. Second, Kali has not broken a rule. As much as he is a dick to communists on the forum, the other side has also been dicks to him as well, so why he is the only one being frowned upon for this as well is beyond me. Despite him being a dick, for the most part, he backs up almost everything he says with facts. Whether you like the way he puts the facts into perspective or not does not matter because he does not have to post to please everyone. As for his moderating, he moderates farily from what I have noticed. Like I said before, just because he expresses his opinions openly is not reason enough to remove him of moderator status. And for the people saying moderators represent the forum and all that fluffy shit, I've got a newsflash for you. First of all, we are a forum of only a few thousand members and are not going to get major anytime soon. Second of all, people already think we are a bunch of Stalinists just by the name of our site and clan. (Just ask TWC). This issue is completely overblown.

I find myself divided when debating this issue in my head. While Kalalification has done a generally decent job as a mod, which I can attest to, his ongoing radicalization of a sorts that has manifested over the past few months has disheartened me, and has been subsequently changing my view of him. His responses to this situation have further proved to me that his attitude may never change. He just simple refuses to even contemplate the issue at hand.

However, I, as of now, cannot make a decision either way.

Also, until I see Kali personally insulting anybody, I won't believe it.

Well as some one who is SUPER inactive on the forums, I say that based on reading several forum threads it seems Kali works to make the site better, the only problems I find with him is his ego and the way he harasses other users, but I also find most of the more active users on the site suffering from the same problems so it doesn't really matter.
In the end it looks like I had a biased opinion on the issue, but I still vote for kali to stay.

I am going to abstain because all he really did to me was bitch at me for trolling when Soviet and friends wanted me to.

Kali has not broken the rules. We started all of this to make people follow the rules, right? I find that your dislike of Kali as distasteful as his douchiness.
