I am glad that my arguement is yet infaliable to yours, and that I have reduced your arguement to simple name-calling.

There is no point arguing with a person who knows nothing but refuses to admit it

No, I'm fine with the natives and all that. I just really dislike the practices they had back in Pre-Colombian times and really up until they all became Westernized in one way or another.

I mean there's a few that aren't, but they're really just pretending at this point.

Exactly, which is why I should stop talking to you. But that wouldn't be very nice, now would it?

You're like a religious person. You completely ignore everything we say, and the shit you say is completely illogical.

That's the equivalent of a Muslim walking up to you, saying he hated everything you practised and then denouncing you as "uncivilized". He still totally likes you, however.

They were "Westernized" by being primarily ruled over by Westerners and subjugated by them. So you're saying that you hated their culture up until your people got into power?

No, East Asia, the Middle East, most of India, some of Indonesia, South East Asia, most of Central Asia(kinda sorta)...

And no, I can't really justify the European conquest of those areas. I mean a little, but not really.

    Hey that sounds like you.

Well no, as soon as the Spanish, British, French, and Portuguese(mainly) rolled in they eliminated most of the Native culture and put in their own. If the Natives had adopted Western culture on their own it would've been just as well, but they didn't. Largly because they didn't know Europe existed.

Ah, I see, instead of making slaves of them we decided to massacre them. Great idea!

Not really. They were so destroyed by disease that mostly the descruction came on their own.

Also the limited slaves that were taken were not what the Kings wanted. They more wanted to assimilate the natives, but sometimes they had to take slaves to pay the soldiers. Which is what hapened with the Aztecs.

If I'm not mistaken they typically were freed in one way or another within 150+ years.

How the fuck can you accuse them that "destruction came on their own"?

We brought them the diseases. Think of it as the equivalent of the Black Plague.

You say it's okay now because they currently have their freedom, but we can never, ever erase the memory of how the Westerners raped, pillaged and conquered their lands. Although I doubt much of them are well and truly descendants of the Aztecs because we decided to replace them with our own people.

First of all, the Spanish treated the Native Americans like dirt. All the Spanish wanted was gold and more gold and money. They enslaved the Natives because they wanted to, not because they had to

They didn't treat them like dirt compared to how you would treat anyone after you conquered them. That would be like saying the Soviets treated the Germans like dirt. Well, they kind of had too in order to occupy the area.

The Spanish had the whole, God, Glory, and Gold (in that order) thing.

Also, they typically did not enslave the natives, when they did, they did it solely to pay soldiers.

In fact we know that the Spanish even gave the Natives free blankets, which happened to give all the Natives diseases, but it was still an act of kindness.

The diseases were bound to come eventually, so no, we didn't bring the diseases to them. Especially since the Spanish didn't know how diseased worked and were transmitted.

Also, they weren't so much replaced as they were mixed in. That whole, Native-Spanish blend really. And it was brought up to speed with technology, and much of the regions were governed almost directly by the governers. I mean, the Spanish King couldn't micromanage everything. So by 1810(was it?) they began becoming independent and ya, free and all that good stuff.
