Well if I owned it already I wouldn't buy another copy. Pretty sure if you already own the game getting it through other means is legal. Is that just for DH? I have EU3 on Steam and installed mods.

Did you get the mods off steam? If not, then I think you are a ninja, oh wait, of course you are.

Or to move it out of steam. And you can play mods on steam games.

Nope, I did not. I installed them to my mod folder and then ran them in set launch options under properties. "-mod insert name of the mod folder here", so the MCP mod for EU3 was -mod MCP. Worked fine.

Deciphering this now.

Download the mod, install it to your mod folder. Check what the name is of the mod inside the mod folder. Right click the game in your library and go into properties. Click set launch options and put in -mod "name of folder" (no quotation marks). Then launch the game.

It's a lot easier to just use the EU3 launcher...

The EU3 launcher does not have any mod options in steam.

The mod should have come with a .mod file, that's how the launcher recognizes it

Take it out of steam, and try to find how to run it without steam.

It will simply run without Steam...
It's not like Steam is magic.

Whenever I take steam games out of the steam file (specifically Rome Total War), it says "Failed to find steam" and refuses to launch.

That's not the case with Paradox games.

How do I get this to work?
