What in the fuck are you even trying to say? You're gonna have to fix this sentence before I even consider answering it.

Bitches thought they were special. You said you were not. Your answer was relevant to the conversation.

    I agree with Imperial.

Laws can shape the views and habits of society, either for better, or for worse. So we should strive to create laws that improve our society, even if some might disagree with them.
While murder is not a good example of this, something like bribery is. Bribery in some societies is perfectly acceptable and seen as part of everyday life, and there is nothing inherently wrong about bribery. In western society, however, we have decided that a system where bribery and corruption are commonplace gives unfair advantages and harms the system. Something like bribery cannot be stopped by individuals, and so it is up to the law to dictate that it is wrong, and over time attitudes toward it change, as they have clearly done.

Bribery involves positions of power and influence, drug laws oppress common citizens, try again.

But neither are inherently wrong, they are simply deemed so by society. So in that way, they can be compared.

It's also ridiculous to say drugs laws 'oppress citizens'.

"Society" is quite broad, and the usage of drugs isn't deemed bad everywhere, even in the West.

How is that ridiculous? Personal liberty is being restricted.

Well exactly, that's my point. Each society can choose how it views such matters, and laws are an important way said views are changed.

I guess it depends on your definition of oppression, but in my opinion banning something people do not need or sometimes particularly want is certainly not that.

Ah, I thought you were implying society as a whole has deemed drug use wrong.

I'm sure I can let Kali PineappleJoe handle this one.

We don't need tv's, soda, air condition, shoes, religion, etc. If any of these things were banned you would be oppressed.

I hope you will understand if I say I don't want to get into a discussion about the legalisation of drugs.

I don't, because as far as I know you haven't posted a reason as to why you're not going to, so...

This guy is seriously just a milder version of Imperial. The resemblance is almost close enough to make me think it's a multi, though he hasn't expressed an undying love for China yet. They certainly write in the same fashion, though.

Alright then, because it's largely unrelated to the topic, will take up a lot of time and space which I do not currently have the energy for, and I'm sure the same argument has been held many times before on these forums.
