Tere, I appreciate that you're willing to do this to defend me, but I'm gonna have to ask that you stop.

I already told you why people vote for him, because the Tribune elections are run as a popularity contest and Ler has no shortage of obedient flunkies.

And tere, your definition of spam is wholly wrong. It doesn't have to be the same message over and over again.

I find it disconcerting that everyone who is supporting me has written my name wrong, Romoulus, Romulous? Is it that hard to spell Romulus or just Rom. at least you can't misspell LER. anyways Ler good luck with your problems and all, but since you see this as IRL politics and want to institute reforms and act like a real politician, you can't give up, or take a leave, you have to be committed to this forum and actually try, so a word of advice from a fellow candidate and friend, don't be a politician, be a man.

I'm not going to drop names during election time, people should realize who they are but there are certainly users that are only in this as a popularity contest, who have no plan and just want the position, Ler isn't one of them. His "obedient flunkies" as you offensively call them support him because they know he will stand up for them. And they're right.

Incidentally, Ler has an active warning. This prohibits him for running for Tribune, as per legislation that he himself helped pass. He is stepping down.

    Nope, that's entirely your delusion.

We only have to notify the warned user. Though the warning that Ler got was basically issued by just a couple of mods and the whole thing was over in no time. I can't argue against the rule preventing him from running however.

Finally you actually presented a decent argument instead of personally attacking Ler.

if it wasn't a unanimous decision then why should it be legitimate?

I can't go too much into the details of this case. Ler never appealed it however (though I believe he can) and so the points currently stand.

that doesn't matter. how can someone get punished when only 2 out of what, 8, mods want it ? i don't care what the reason for the warning was, nobody should be warned when only a small minority of the mods agree.

For the record the overwhelming majority of mods agreed with the decision, which is why it came to be.

then why did "only a couple of mods" instate it. i think you're talking out of your ass with this and i'm actually starting to think some of you are too incompetent for your job.

You could see for yourself if I had my way. Transparency is unfortunately not very popular among most of the staff. However, I can assure you that there was only a small minority of mods opposed to the decision.
