Look, Uni makes a good point. Ler broke the rules and had to be warned. If they waited for all the mods to make a decision, then it would be very slow. As long as a good number of mods make a convincing argument, they should be able to give out the appropriate response.

It wasn't for some odd reason... It was either for personally insulting another member or for hate speech, I can't remember which, but as mentioned, there wasn't a single mod to speak against it. We had a majority of mods for it, even Ler agreed to it, it wasn't appealed by Ler (edit: he just formally launched an appeal, so expect a decision on that within the week), and contextually it wasn't nearly as bad as what some of mods argued for.

I think this issue highlights the need for further transparency regarding infractions though, and hopefully whoever is the next tribune brings it up again

    To Kali:
Kali, I have deep respect for you, I genuinely do. But you have a habit of insulting people. What you said was out of context, and exaggerated. You had gone too far. Some might agree that he's a bad mod, some might not, but the guy has personal problems, so don't expect him to spend every spare minute of his time in the forums. You do, and I and most others appreciate that, but again: This guy has personal problems, so the forums don't have the highest priority. You'll have to accept it.

There is none. The US isn't Obama's private property and you never voted Stalin in office.

Tere only chose that example so it could be more familiarized with he person he was responding too, an American. In theory, it still holds. Broken down into specifics, of course there are exceptions.

Obama is representative of the American citizenry. Stalin is the executive owner of this site. There are no similarities.

Oh cool. So now we're changing context to something completely unrelated the subject of whether Stalin, like Obama, has so sort of legal responsibility that comes with his position. Whatever, so long as you recognize that Stalin, as owner of this site, can do whatever he wants so long as it doesn't violate Canadian or International laws.

    Rage harder spambot.

You're wrong Tere as for one thing, both Obama & Stalin have legal/constitutional requirements which are distinct from each other. Both people are perfectly within their rights to do whatever they please within the boundaries of the law, the difference is that Obama is elected and needs to keep up appearances unlike Stalin who doesn't.

Thanks for caring for him Chelsea, would be a shame to have people just push members out of our humble little Stalinist gaming website.

Checks and Balances fool. No branch of the government is above the other. And they're all subservient to the rule of law.
