Nah, it's a bad idea. The general tone of this thread is negative, and we both disagree. Why bother?

So we can see how many people actually support this, if it gets a massive turning then we will have no choice.

Meh. Go ahead, I'll make up my mind whenever a significant demand comes up.

Nope. Of course not, that would make them tired, 'cause they'd have to type two entire sentences. [/sarcasm]

I thought they just had to follow the fourm rules like everyone else. If they do why the hell would we need a code of conduct.

Have you read my campaigning thread? I clearly stated the following:

I can sit down and talk to you about a good alternative, but you haven't even asked, so why would I bother. You are the one who wanted this done in the first place, so if I were you, I'd first write an idea, make a poll and PM the Tribunes and a few mods, and we'll take it to the Mod's Corner. You can still sit down and talk to Rom and me, but you didn't bother before criticizing my job as a Tribune in a negative and destructive way. PM me.

    EDIT:
I asked the mods to change Earl and Rick's titles to "Dutch Master Race", but they misunderstood. I don't mind, and they might change it back sometime.

I didn't contact either of you two because, at the time, I wasn't precisely sure who had won the elections. Also, I intended this to be a more community oriented thing. I'm not going to discuss if there should be a code of conduct, because I know there should be. What I'm discussing is what should go into it, and I made this thread for people to throw ideas into the ring. I don't feel that this is a mod/tribune issue. This should be a community issue.

I didn't mean to say that you shouldn't have an opinion on the matter, just that it shouldn't purely be for mods/tribunes. You can make suggestions in your posts, in fact I would welcome it. Sending a PM is a private correspondence which I didn't want for a community issue.

Well my opinion is that Moderators are like regular members except they have special privileges and they should not be held up to a certain standard, forcing them to abide by a code of conduct is like censoring them and it is a affront to democracy to censor anybody.

I don't want to censor their opinions, but when mods harass and insult certain members of the forum, then there is an issue. With a tribune, there is the danger of not being reelected to dissuade them from acting in such a way. However, the mods are appointed by Stalin so there is no danger unless Stalin himself wants to do it. I respect Stalin's opinion greatly, but sometimes his opinion is not the opinion of the masses.
