He was never a rat or a coward! His convoy of men all got WASTED in an airstrike!! All of his guys died!

I bet if all your men got killed in an AIRSTRIKE you would run to cover.

Give the man a fistpump, he didn't leave Libya like HE said he would not leave Libya and did NOT go into exile, he was armed on the battlefield unlike leaders in other countries who let 18 year old's do their dirty work.

What you take from it is what you will. I would have rather him stand trial but that is just me. I do not get the 18 thing though.

He called people brave enough to fight for what they believe in "rats", and then died next to a sewer. The irony is palpable, but appears to be going right over your head.

I can see the irony, its just people from here don't see the other perspective of things of which I like to point out.

Gadaffi was arrogant, and brave. But also stupid. What's your point?

    This summed it up.

The rest I have to say is that this thread has come a long way.

It has been controversial, it has been fruitful, and it has been a hallmark for our site.

    Archive!

If he was any sort of intelligent, he would have left and lived a life of luxury in exile. He had the money, and the resources for it. But instead, he chose to fight a unwinnable war because of a bloated sense of pride. You still don't have a point.

Yes people talk about that he had all that hidden assests. And what point are do you seek?

And any war can be won.

    GG, Gaddafi
He fought bravely. Not well or morally, but bravely.

Saying that any war can be won is a telling sign of the naive. Anyway, you said we lacked perspective, which we don't. I recognize that Gadaffi didn't leave, but that doesn't make him smart, or a good person.

He could have left like this guy.

Instead, he died like this guy.

However, he didn't kill himself like this guy.

The perspective is that he was 70 year old man, that did not exile or leave Libya as suggested, his sons fought on at his side such as Motassim that died in the fighting, and Saif al Islam who is still fighting, the loyalists that gave it there best as Nato continued to bomb them and made it manageable for the NTC. You expect him to be like Idi Amin and die in another country?

And for now this is just me rambling on. Because I am still disoriented at the news.

So like, if the Arabs are marching on Jerusalem to commit mass genocide of all Jews you will be on the first boat to West Europe?

You severed in the fucking IDF? You seem to understand loyalty as much as Quantum Mechanics.

Alright, now to go after China. Who is up for an information war and a campaign to ready NATO for the big intervention campaign? I sure as hell am!

I confronted him on the matter of loyalty as well, but he sort of shot it down.

But in any case we should try to close this up and archive it.
