Not if he was killed by torture and rape and in the most brutal ways possible.[/quote:5wuoskpp]
So if you were a Jew in an extermination camp, had your entire family gassed, and were near death, you would not be happy if someone beat the shit out of hitler and then shot him?

Not really. If I was alive during WW2 and I had the chance I would do it, but I guess I cant really be objective in this scenario. He deserved to die and it might be hypocrisy to feel that way and still be against the death penalty. It was simply too dangerous to keep him alive(in a prison) with the support he had.

2 wrongs don't make a right, by torturing him and killing him they stooped down to the very power they fought against.

Why would you stoop down to the level of one who utterly hates your existence why would you give him the satisfaction of death?

No it isn't. I would put him in some sort of isolation, away from where he could hurt people, but I wouldn't torture him. It's inhumane and barbaric.

Well I wouldn't torture him, but mabye I'd pass a punch or two before putting the bullet in his head. I dont think it would be a good idea to keep him alive, and a trial would allow him to start manipulating with people again. He had a lot of support in many different countries, and the fact that he was alive would be encouraging to racial extremists.

I might sound like a dick, but I don't care if the people want Sharia law. A secular set of laws is the basis for stability, and your state having roots in religion can never lead to any kind of good. People can practice anything they want, but it's not the state's business, nor is it their place to shove it down my throat.

I personally find no problem with what they are doing. All the laws they have enacted so far I find no problem with.

Fairness has nothing to do with it. Religious law is inevitably going to restrict some, and be a barrier to a truly far and even judicial system. Also, do a little research on Sharia law. It isn't all sunshine and roses, like any sort of religious law.

Libya under Gaddafi still sounds way better than a theocracy.

Wait and see how things go. If we're screwed, we're screwed. Though I think going Sharia would scare off the tourists.

So pretty much we determined Libya after Gaddafi will be as bad if not worse.

I feel incredibly bad for ever supporting the rebels now. Even if he was a dictator, Gaddafi-Libya was better than anything that could come from this.
