There has been no proof that Gaddafi has used mercenaries. Only reports from rebels, that is not credible at all. They were also the people that said they were getting bombed by Gaddafi, but that has also been disproven.

The ceasefire broke because France broke the no fly zone. No Fly Zone means No Fly Zone for all.

You people can not deny that Gaddafi has a huge following all around Libya, first off you have every single African immigrant supporting him, every single one, why is that? Because they have to run from these rebels for fear of being imprisoned or killed. And if Gaddafi did not have such a large group of supporters and these so called rebels were the majority, it would have been a cake walk for them (metaphorically) especially now from illegal aid.

With weapons you can put down a armed uprising, no matter the size. See the Paris Commune.

Now here is my question, why would Gadafi use represion instead of adressing the poverty and other issues the people were facing. What we see in these ralies are probobly the minority of people who benefit from Gadafi. There are people in Tripoly who are afraid of Gadafi, plus he said he would give no mercy, thus breaking the Geneva convention.

And please, give an answer related to the question. In university, you fail for going on a tangent.

Let me ask you the same question Gaddafi's asked Mr. Obama, "If your nation were under threat of a rebel army that was using live weapons to over your government, would you not try to suppress them as well?"
Would you? Of course Mr. Obama won't answer this because he knows its very likely with all of this civil unrest mounting between the "Oath Keepers"/Tea Party/ Whatever you want to call them.

Again, Libya has a less than 7% poverty rating, and the majority of those that are poor are the African Immigrants new to Libya, but they still stand with Gaddafi.

Sorry, If I were in charge, I would not use violence, but would engage in negotiations to adress their issues and try to come up with some sort of compramize. If I cannot, I will resing as I am clearly not fit to lead and it leaves my honour intact.
