Belgium would like to not wage war with the PRC. If the PRC does interfere in this matter on the side of the Ho Chi Minh, then we have no choice.

It is imperialism, plain and simple and the PRC will not stand for it.

Agreed, but the PRC would like to add that the form of government and under who/whom is up to the people of Vietnam.
The PRC only intends to help the people of Vietnam in their need.

The PRC will aid anyone who steps forward to lead the people of Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh or otherwise.

OOC: I really think we should wait for the game to really start now because I don't know how countries are repersented in the game that no one plays has. Lets just say France support an election in Veitnam to see how the country will be run. Who's gonna come up with the election results.

Belgium wants a compromise here. Belgium agrees to this election, but we also want Ho Chi Minh to back down and have no power influence this election, this includes the PRC, France, and Ho Chi Minh.

France agrees to a ceasefire with Ho Chi Minh and his forces and to this election as long as Ho Chi Minh dose.
OOC: were going to have to see how this is going to work.

The PRC reaffirms that it will back the elections, but does not contend that any contender should be barred from running in said election. Such is not in any way a democratic process. There is not real, legal reason that has been presented that Ho Chi Minh should NOT be allowed to run for election. Indeed, it would appear that, election or no, the people would support him as their leader. Therefore, it is suspect to call that he should not be allowed to compete in the election and the PRC will not bar him from running.

What everyone wants is that no foreign power or Ho Chi Minh to influence this election to take advantage of it. France can't use its power to influence the people to support France, nor Ho Chi Minh can't use his power to influence the people to vote for him.

If it is a matter of voting fraud through intimidation that the French Republic is concerned about, then there is little that can be done. The PRC will encourage Ho Chi Minh to pursue a free and untainted election, but it will not stop him from competeing. Indeed, so popular with the Vietmanese people he is, the PRC is quite certain that preventing him from running or dismissing his election will only serve to further inflame the tensions of the Vietmanese population.

We are not saying that he can't be in the election, what we are saying is that Ho Chi Minh can't use "force of arms" or aggression to support his election. If he is discovered doing this, he will be barred from the election and imprisoned.

So in retrospect, the French Republic is simply announcing that it will do what it already does?

OOC: How can he be found to be in fault? How does that factor in?

OOC: Surf and his bag of D&D die.

China, no foreign power will influence the elections, including France. And Ho Chi Minh can't use "force of arms" or aggression to influence the people. We went over this many times.
