I love, nor hate you, whichever you were implying. Your attitude on the whole issue, though, is at best detestable.

Detestable things have been done in the name of this religions, so it would make sense why my attitude towards it is also detestable.

Detestable things have been done in the name of just about everything. Might as well nuke the entire world and get rid of all humans while we're at it.

Or just get rid of certain parts of humanity. Like cutting off a cancerous tumor so the body can be healthy.

The rest of the body in both humanity and the body will eventually succumb to cancer regardless. No matter what the reason, people will find ways to justify hate, murder and war. Religion, territory, resources, nationalism, it doesn't matter. Getting rid of all religion can only be done through physical violence, which is going entirely against the point, and is only going to piss people off and create more violence and hatred. Live and let live, I say.

Humanity will not reach a full and happy life with this mental illness holding us
    back.

Mental illness? Are you following your biology classes, or have you just been on reddit too much?
And sorry to break it to you, but humanity will never reach a full and happy life anyway, looking at the way things are going, regardless of religion.

Religion seems to boost people's moods quite a bit, I don't know where you're getting this from.

I'm not even going to watch that ridiculous generalisation. I know there are plenty of idiots on this planet, no need to tell me.

Do you think all people of faith are like that?
Maybe you think all Muslims are terrorists.
Maybe you think all Buddhists are strict regulating fundamendalists.
Maybe you think all Jews are rich greedy people.
Maybe you think Christians are all crazy, selfish people who are hypocrites.

    Prejudice=Prejudged.

The majority of religious people are kind honest people. There are exceptions of course (see the above video.)
Religion benefits many people giving them meaning in their lives and all that jazz, but I don't want people to be dicks about it as that leads to bad things like discrimination and that is bad kids.
    Normal religion is okay
    Extremists are bad
Jews are all greedy rich business people with caves full of gold.
And fuck Scientology. Man that shit is like some bad sci fi movie, but you can't stop watching.
