How do I justify consuming pot(I dont smoke it usually)? The minascule amount of harm it does it to my body is worth the high. Pot in moderate to light consumption will not lower your lifespan. What can lower your lifespan is the tar in pot smoke, which is why you should consume it in less tar producing methods. Vaporization for example has almost no tar.

What I said wasn't stupid, it's the reason they haven't been made illegal in the US. Tobacco is pretty ingrained in American culture. Example: Duke University, named after the guy who made the mechanical cigarette roller. Smoking should be illegal, I'm not trying to justify it. I'm just telling you why it won't be made illegal. Alcohol is impossible to get rid of.

Well yeah, in the same way that inhaling the smoke from a burning weed or eating a damn brownie does harm. The THC itself is not harmful. People only smoke it because making brownies is too much effort, money and time, and nobody has the resources to make THC candy so long as it's illegal.

Well this isn't about alcohol, but the same shit applies. Actually, I don't particularly like alcohol, especially compared to pot, because alcohol is toxic. That's right kids, ethanol is fucking poisonous. You can die from drinking too much of it. Parts of your brain will shut down and you will black out from it. Your body will attempt to expel it any way it can. You lose coordination and can barely talk from it. Whereas with marijuana, it is not poisonous, as a matter of fact, your nervous system, and particularly your brain, has cannabinoid receptors with the sole purpose of receiving cannibinoids found exclusively in cannabis. Your body was designed to get high. If you want I could go on about all sorts of related fascinating facts about weed, such as how it sparked the development of civilization, or that it is the only plant on earth with differentiatable genders. But enough for now.

We do that now. Has it worked? No, mostly because they lie, and then the kids find out they were lied to when they get to high school or junior high school.

We basicly do that. Programs like DARE come to elementary schools regularly and inform kids about the 'dangers' of marijuana(but not other drugs!), and then in junior high and high school, they lie to you again in health classes.

Nobody is allowed to grow hemp. Also, nobody is allowed to conduct scientific research on marijuana for any purpose without government authorization(the government never authorizes it).

The reason people smoke marijuana a lot even though it's not addictive is the same reason people play world of warcraft for insane amounts of hours . They have a lot of fun and they don't need to worry about life. This really isn't complicated I mean are the propaganda video's on pot more biased and full of bullshit then the ones up here or what?

On a personal note my grandmother died from lung cancer as a result from smoking 2 packs a day for almost her entire life. She was 80 years old.

You know what that means? That means her life was REALLY over about 15 years before she actually died or felt any consequences. I wish I could shorten my life span to 65 I really could , that way I could be spared being in constant pain spending my lifes money on pointless medical fee's to try to keep my dying husk from finally kicking it . My great grandmother died at 98 and wanted to die since she was 80. Expressly so. Through telling people she wished she was dead.

Don't live your life on the premise of how your going to die. That is really stupid and wasteful way to live your life which is preciously short in reality no matter WHAT you do.

And then follow up that point with saying you should spout propaganda at people for the majority of their early education in order to support archaic ideals which have no basis in the modern day ?

It's worth noting that where I'm from they have the police come in and make hilarious presentations on drug use from about grade 5 through grade 9, and it has no effect because this is Canada and 60% of us will at least try pot regardless of it's illegality.

What I always find hilarious is seeing statistics about how many people smoke marijuana, even pro marijuana statistics, and then seeing with my own eyes a much higher percentages of people smoke it.
