Of course some of them do but the majority are trying to protect and feed their families. And guess what would stop that? Helping those countries out through....

These cartels rise up in countries with higher poverty as well, the person for example may join of their own "free will" but perhaps they didn't have much of a choice, at least in their eyes? I am not saying this is the majority I am just saying, you can always find desperate people to do things.

Helping those countries out is all well and good, not occupying, bombing, all that jazz.

Yeah I still say your idea is unfeasible. Too expensive and there will be resistance even if we came to help. Essentially all your saying is the Africans can't do shit for themselves so we'll come in and "enlighten" them.

Okay, first off, i apologize because i think i have been quite abit of a smart-ass/asshole. Next, if i offend you at all/anymore it is not my intention. Now to my reply. Okay, maybe not 12yr olds, but kids around 10 and less probably wont know, unless people in their family do it regularly. For i did not know what it was until age 11. And i never said a responsible parent would do that, i simply said that if a parent does not want their child (12 and under) having pot they should be able to contain them. And yes i have, and i have been high twice. The majority of people in my town get high almost daily. And if their constantly hacking up their lungs wandering through roads they are on something completely different than weed. Maybe some kind of super-weed, or a weed+[insert drug here] combination. And again, look at the Netherlands. It's a peaceful country is it not dutch people? How many people do you see high hacking and coughing constantly running into busy roads? And also your 2 ideas are contradictory of each other. You suggest, that western country's, ruled by selfish and rich people, can find it in the goodness of their heart to 'temporarily' imperialize the globe and, without any benefit to themselves, give the colonized country's people freedom without taking advantage of them and their resources and eventually give it back, but you do not believe that the common man is good and moral enough to smoke virtually harmless marijuana without being addicted to every single satanic product Colombian cartels have to offer to the point where you want to send them to a labor camp or have them executed? That to me seems contradictory and illogical.

PS-Sorry guys about the double posting, by double post i thought you meant sending the same post twice..(hahaha, i did not realize what i did :p) and i will try to refrain from doing it in the future.

Its ok, these kind of arguments tend to raise high emotions.
It is usually quite hard to "contain" your child, especially when your raising them in a supposedly "safe" neighborhood, and/or when you have other children.

Understandable, but it can be done. I think it really depends on the parents/parenting style and obviously the enviorment, as you have said. And, just a side note, your neighborhood sounds like shit...no offence :p Just a surprising amount of blood for a mid-class suburbia. And thank you for being mature enough to handle my temper and apology.

Parents who raise their kids right do not have such a hard time. My mother and grandparents were extremely devoted in raising me, no subjects were off the table for discussion, I grew up knowing what I needed to know and I never got in any trouble.

I'm considering putting this in my sig just to remind him every day how god damn stupid this thread is.

You have no right telling other people what to do with their bodies, or what to do in their own countries. You are not god, you are not the world police, and you may rot in hell for you self-righteous bullshit. Not everyone wants what you want.

Our neighborhood is actually pretty great, its the surrounding neighborhoods that also send students to our highschool that are bad. Not many people in our particular neighborhood do any kind of drugs but the city next to us is loaded with potheads and the like..

I agree with you guys I was just stating some of the potential problems legalizing marijuana could lead to. Overall though, I think legalizing marijuana could work, just that we have to be aware that it will not completely fix the problem.

I'm about to rape this thread, but I don't really want to read through it all, so someone tell me, does Mosh still believe all this?

Perhaps not all of it but I think he still generally believes in it, excluding the execution part.
