    I think he was referring to Texas' roots being in Mexico.

    Not really. We were influenced more by American pioneer culture than Mexican culture.

    So you're not saying that he didn't kill millions of people? Just that the numbers are wrong?

    Because of Stalin 3 million people died (not including famine)

    This figure includes:
    800 000 executed (both "legit" executions and political prisoners etc.)
    1.7 million deaths in gulags (Includes German POW to my understanding, because soviet archives do not specify)
    390 000 because of forced resettlement

    Numbers above are actual recorded deaths and anything beyond them is speculation.

    Well, I'll try some maths using your numbers Ler, we'll see how they go:
    187 million people - 1917, and 194 million in 1949, and about 100 million total deaths from WWII, RCW, and Stalin's death toll combined, so that means going from around 180 million at 1920 (end of RCW) to 284 million in 1949 (this number combines the population at the time with the total deaths minus those incurred during the RCW) This gives us the equation of:
    284E6 = 180E6 * (1+(population growth rate))^(number of years between 1920-1949)
    284E6 = 180E6 * (1+X)^29 - Divide by 180E6
    1.58 = (1+X)^29 - Take the 29th root of both sides
    1.01584 = 1 + X - Subtract 1
    X = .01584 or 1.584% population growth rate.
    That seems like a fairly normal growth rate for the time, and it would seem entirely possible for Stalin to have killed that many people and still arrive at the 194 million persons mark in 1949, your math was way off mate.

    lol, yeah, I just hate it when people use ill-prepared and untested math to try and prove something, really I'm kinda OCD about it.

    Man that was amazing. but that still leaves the question of how many people are killed by stalin. This could prove that Stalin actually wasnt a monster
