Not everyone. xD I am hoping that they do something with China but I believe Rome 2 is coming. The thing is Rome Total War is still a very good game and Shogun 1 and Medieval 1, the games that have been remade are really old and outdated. They have done nothing in China yet. I would like to see something new before Rome 2.

The fact is Rome was arguably the beginning of the modern total war era. It had the first 3D campaign map on a total war game, a much improved battlefield, more modern diplomacy, and funner atmoshere (in my opinion) than Shogun 1 and Medieval 1

I think it will be Rome 2 because thats the one a large majority of people are asking for.

I agree with the Africa thing and like I said before Egypt might be cool, however, I was thinking that Zulu total war might also be cool, where you could play as the Zulu during their rise to power or any of the tribes opposing them and the map wouldnt have to be too big, maybe just South Africa.

Maybe they could combine this and my Egypt idea together with a couple of other campaigns in an expansion to Rome 2 if it comes out kind of like in the Medieval 2 total war kingdoms campaigns? I think this is a good idea because it gets rid of the large map problem. Just a thought.

I think it would be cool if all the western nations start off in Italy and as the campin proggesses some of these tribes are going to leave a colonise other areas and you could get the greeks coming or the galic tribes invasion but after each event it unlocks a new area of the map so by the end of the game you will have the whole map unlocked but you need to stick around for a long time to get it unlocked. obviously this wouldnt work for all the factions so you would need two campiangs the first one or roman one would be the one I just described and the second one would be the more traditional campain that you dont need to unlock anything.

That is a great idea. This would enable them to add more detail to the map. Maybe when the map is just Italy and Greece maybe, itcan be zoomed in and very detailed, and as you unlock another section, the map zooms out and many of the cities dissapear, but the section you unlocked becomes very detailed, etc. This would be grea for combating the blitz the campaign map theory, and to make it historical in the sense, that the next place you unlock has to be the next placve the romans pursued. Also, it would be possible to fo the same for the Gauls and Greeks, becuz u could just start off in the detailed part of the map that would have been unlocked by the romans.

I do not like this idea at all. The next place you unlock HAS to be the next place the Romans pursued? To me Total War isn't about following history, but rewriting it. Plus I think all settlements should already be on the map, it's the Total War way.

thats why i said two campins lol i also meant it would be from the eyes of the romans so it could go from detaed in one area to zoomed out in another or it goes from really detailed to gradually zoomed out the more places are unlocked but back to from the eyes of the romans after say to discover gaul they have been fighting in intaly then you get the Brenus(he invaded italy with the guals and sacked rome right? If not whoeve invaded and sacked rome with the gauls) event which would put say a gaulic horde in italy but also reveal Gual for conquest once you defeat the Gauls or the punnic wars would reveal spain, africa and allow you to build fleets. or even a General arrives event which will instantly give you a new army with a historic general and it will reveal the area he conquerd. This could be say the grand roman campain in which like rome in the first one you were constantly currying the favour of the senate and people or somthing like that and you get benefits and disadvantages for being a man of the people or a regular aristocrate. The other campain could be the regular total war campain that were all used to.

I dunno. I would like maybe a Total War game that spanned the early to mid 1900's (1900-1950?). Although it might not fit the Total War engine, I'm sure they could find a way to make it work. If that fails, then I would agree with most of the other posters in that there should be a Rome: Total War 2(or as it will probally be called "Total War: Rome 2" lol).

How about the Zulu Wars period? I suppose that'd be considered Victorian? When all the European powers went about colonizing Africa. Would give several factions to play as...

But I think, after a Shogun2 expansion, we'll see Rome2. It only makes sense. Total War seems to get better every time with the AI. I've been rather impressed with it watching Stalin's LP of Shogun2. I want to play the Roman era with the better AI. And the significantly improved graphics of course.

It has to be R2TW. And I really hope they'll bring back the proper variation in factions like in RTW. Not like the wannabe variations in ETW and NTW.

Rome 2 will be next, they will probably make Empire 2 and Medieval 3 in the near future.

Personally I like the idea of a 20th Century Total War, whatever the title might be. Takes place from 1900 to 2000 and includes historical events such as World War I, World War II, and the numerous conflicts that took place within the Cold War. It would also include an entire world map, like Hearts of Iron the Total War version.

I also like the idea of a Total War game that you don't have to cheat in to get more than 200 turns, maybe a game where you can choose how many turns you want. 100, 200, 500, even 1000 if your an extremely slow paced player.

A WW2 Total War or anything later would not work for the Total War style. At all.

Imagine how epic a siege battle would be, though. It would be so fun to bombard with aircraft first, then send the troops in. It could work in maybe 10 or so years if they have the right engine. We'll see.
