Fun Fact: Obamacare is based entirely off a model Conservatives pushed for. If Obama is wrong, then in turn Conservatives were wrong. Don't just blame him.

But the polls is 49% oppose and 45% favor and while it may be in the margin of error that does not mean it is wrong that the majority disagree so you are in fact false and Rasmussen also did polls showing that before it was passed 41% of the people approved of Obamacare and 54% were opposed and that is a solid majority.

    'Solid'

And if so many people hated it with a passion, why is it they weren't able to vote in enough republicans so as to repeal the law?

No I don't, but I don't dislike it as much as most Conservatives do.

So you are not really a modern conservative like Rick Perry or Herman Cain.

The Governor is for repealing it. I am for repealing it. However I think that the good must be filed of it and implemented in the new program. I am sure the Governor would do something similar. I am just as Conservative as Governor Perry.

Now I am not the same kind of Conservative as Cain, because I know where Libya is and my economic ideas wouldn't be something I would second guess trying in a game of "Sim-City".

"Good evening I'm TX Governor Rick Perry, a proven job creator and a man who is about economic growth, an authentic Conservative, not a Conservative of convince."

    Rick Perry
Intro at the Western GOP Debate

I will tell you, Herman is a Conservative of convince.

    Our healthcare is awesome.

Let me tell you a story about our healthcare. 5 or so years ago I thought I had broken my thumb, and needed an X-ray. I went to the hospital, told them I needed an X-ray, they told me to show them my BC care card, which I did. I took a seat for about 45 minutes which I spent reading a book. I was then called and they took me where I needed to go, got the X-ray and was done without an hassle.

You should also see the local hospital, it's gorgeous. I remember when I first went there I could not tell I was in a hospital. Perhaps I should take some pictures.

You know I had a friend in high school who was diagnosed with cancer while he was in elementary school, and I can tell you he loved the Canadian healthcare system an awful lot. Considering that they were able to cure him completely and efficiently without any cost to his family.

The fact of the matter is that our healthcare is great and the overwhelming majority of Canadians approve of it. In fact you will consistently find 90% of Canadians approve of public health care. I can bet you the amount of Americans who have a positive view of their healthcare is much lower than that. There is also the whole issue of Canada's healthcare system being rated much higher than the American one but I don't think there is a need to go into that.

Kinda hard to debate after back surgery. He shouldn't have been able to stand on a stage. Well I don't want to derail another thread defending the Good Governor. PM me if you want to discuss it.

No man, I love Perry. I am a big donor, I help run a PAC for him, and I am going to meet him in a month.

    Sooo.... Obamacare

Back to the genius's original comment, as a Conservative I believe in taking the good and reforming the bad. So while I am for repealing it I am not for repealing all of it. Take the good, apply it to the new. That is my philosophy in this matter. Believe it or not some Conservatives will agree, including Gov. Perry. Now that is my answer to your question.

That is all good for Canada and all, but I am sure you would be happy to know that I can get the same treatment here. I have also been inside my hospitals and that they are designed looks nice to. Still, a majority of Americans do not want your healthcare so you can keep it. 56% favor its repeal and 39% oppose it as of March 17-18 Rasmussen Polls and the rest are undecided and are not taking a side. I believe that the government works for the people and if the people do not want it get rid of it.

No we can't.... We have to pay for it and god help you if you don't have insurance. My step father had a mild heart attack last year and had to have bypass surgery and he still owes the hospital $125,000 despite having a pretty good employer provided health insurance
