    Authoritarian "Marxists" are by no means the majority. Most of us are Libertarian, and disagree with the whole 'Vanguard of the people' authoritarian regime-thing. Please, look up what Socialism actually is, because you guys are looking quite foolish by saying that sort of stuff. Which, by the way is doing exactly what you accuse us of. Y'know.. Wanting to mass-kill people who ideologically differ to you.

    Yeah good luck with that whole "attempting to reason with people" thing. I couldn't even get crocve to understand such simple concepts as "Social Democracy =/= Socialism" and "Obama is not a Marxist". And Shaw just doesn't even give a fuck about getting shit dead wrong so long as it serves his purpose.

    Also I was just thinking about how awesome this thread could have been had Marshal used "Revolting" instead of "Rebelling".

    These protests have nothing to do with communism, socialism, or any other horrible ideological nonsense. 90% of Americans don't identify with any ideology. And those that do are overwhelmingly libertarian. Ideological politics have, up until the Tea Party, had virtually no impact whatsoever on government or politics in general. The American political elite, those who are politically aware enough to know of ideology, largely scorn it in favor of 'independent' status.

    And Shaw, libertarianism and Scandinavia are perhaps polar opposites.
