    I understand the sentiment, and I knew Toast was a popular member but I felt that deciding judgements based the the popularity of forum user was a dangerous road to go down. That would set a bad precedent in the future, for example that I could be more lenient with unpopular users when it came to issuing bans and I think we can agree that that kind of standard would not be right.

    Stalin is completely right, we can not let popularity influence bans. That would be horrible.
    So Stalin wants to seem like he can't stick to a decision? That every time people get upset he will crumble under the pressure of it?

    And the right thing is the only thing to do for a forum. This is not politics, it is running an internet forum. Stalin has to have the conviction to stick by his decisions like this and he can't let popularity influence his decisions.
