If I could give a source, it would be what is arguably the most important piece of literature in the human culture: the Bible. Not that I think that everything is all legit, but you asked for a source, and I would ask you to trump it.

Congratulations, you are failing to understand what I am saying or what it means to be a Christian. Being a Christian simply means believing in God and Jesus, absolutely nothing more. To be anything else, do you have to believe absolutely everything that some are saying or just the core principles of it? Take communism for example, there are many, many different views on how to implement it and what is right and what isn't but the end result, the core principles are the same. I believe in God and Jesus, so you can't very well call me not a Christian.

I just hate how people use "English is my 2nd or 3rd language" as an excuse to justify themselves for using the wrong word.

"Are you good at speaking German?" I'm decent at German, I take classes.

    I can!
The bible was written by anonymous authors sometime between 50-80 AD. So while we dont know who has written it, we are sure that no one personally seen Jesus or the events that are described in there.. That disqualifies it as a reliable source right away. Also, the composition of the bible was discussed a good 300 years later. Many important parts were left out, including the tales of the young Jesus who helped some peasents with dragons living in a cave (I kid you not!). There is no other historical evidence for anything described in the bible. Nor is there other evidence for the existence of Jesus, Mary, the Apostles or the famous "first pope" Paul.
And that is just a quick round up of the problems with the composition of the bible, I didnt even start with the obvious contradictions or things that were left out (Why is the ascendents of Jesus from the grave only in 2 of 4 scriptures?) etc.

You can say that, doesn't mean it isn't an ignorant thing to say.

There are many different denominations of Christianity and they all take the bible a different way, you can easily and truthfully say I am not a part of many of those, however the very fact is that I believe in God and Jesus and to claim that I am not someone who believes in both of them, a Christian, is ignorant.

Not really "scientific, but it I dont have the time (nor the patience right now) to search my universitys libraby for book recommendations.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_manuscript
here you can fiond the dates where the manuscripts were written
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_canon
Here you can see wich manuscripts are in the bible and which are not. For what is in the actual manuscripts you have to read them or get a book about them. There should be plenty!

    EDIT: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canonical_gospels#Non-canonical_gospels
    A list of non-canonical gospels

Look I am not trying to be this all i-hate-religion person, because I am not, but we honestly dont even know if there was an original ten commandments because we have never once saw the original ten commandments. For all we know, they could have been something created by ordinary people who followed their faith.

There were hundreds of commandments, but they all rounded down to the ten important ones, the Ten Commandments. This applies to the Jewish faith as well. We might not have the tablets, but through words they were transcribed to paper.

How do you know that these transcriptions were not instead the people who made up the ten commandments?

I'm done here. All I get is arguing on whether I'm Christian or whether my faith has "proof" or "credible". I have one last statement.
Religion is not about showing proof, it is about belief.

See this is the problem I have with religion. You need to have some kind of basis of truth to believe in something (in my opinion).
