Poll: Is world peace possible within our lifetime?

Unless we all stop being human, stop requiring resources to sustain ourselves, and a whole bunch of other shit then no. Not even a little. Not in a long shot. EVER.

Say that to the US government, and the stupid Corporation in America. If we were to see peace in our time, than replace the unstable, corrupted US government with a stable, non-corrupted US government that answer to the people, and not the wall-street criminals, foreign banks, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America, etc. ELITE class is still going to wage war over resources, at least see them gone too!

Indeed, I think the US is one of the major problems we can not have peace, but obviously there is others though. It's not the US all the time, which your getting in your head probably right now that i always say America is always doing this and that. I'll be truthful to myself, yes i do blame America all the time. I think Iran wouldn't agree on peace, nor all the Terrorist cells in the Middle East and Caucasus.

They'd probably win because a third of the World is demiliterized, the other third is made up of shit armies that can't fight for their lives, and the last third has such a massive army that they support the entire world (China, America, India, etc.)

It's much more likely we'd see a sort of 7-Hour War, like in Half-Life 2, than a long, drug out war between Aliens and Humans.

I would like to point out that we were founded by Brits, so clearly the British would feel the same way. In fact we've inherited almost everything from the British, except Tea and Bad Teeth, of course.

World peace is possible...wipe out everyone other then a single country and reduce that country to a single race.

The sad thing is Humans would still find some scapegoat to kill. Women, people with green eyes, poor people. The last person alive would hate himself for letting his species die out and kill himself. Hilarity ensues.

You know war doesn't have to occur over differences in religion or race. Resources and boredom are also motives.

I think world peace while not philosophically impossible is in practice impossible.

But that goes against human nature. Sure, help some people but not everyone. That's just unnatural.

Our species fucks up when placed in large societies. We simply cannot care about everyone.

I didn't say we'd win I just think that humanity would stop killing eachother for a minute or two and fight back thus tempororary world peace.
