I notice a lot of girl/woman troubles on here. I don't know what to tell you all, you need to realize that you don't need to be with someone to be happy. I didn't go to prom. Know what I did? Went to work then hotboxed a car with my friends. You may say this is sad, I would agree except for the fact that weed makes you happy.

Also:

I never go to the dances. Not that school sponsored events really matter for this sort of thing.

It really doesn't matter if all your friends are going, or if she's hot, or if it's a sure thing, or anything else.

If you want to go with her, do it. If not, don't. It's that easy. Don't worry anything about what other people in your social circle think or say. You're in high school and right now they're important to you but trust me that'll end soon. By the time you're 21 you'll probably not ever see or hear from most of them. Everybody moves on and does their own thing after high school, it's the way things are. Granted, you'll keep the close friends for longer but most will disappear shortly after graduation. So, don't worry about anyone else and do what you want to do. Be true to yourself.
