    Well I meant Tropico 2- Pirate Cove. Alot more complex and fun than 1 and 3. Sad that out of the small number of people that play tropico an even smaller amount of those people do not know it. I highly reccomend it to anyone. I have a bad computer and I can run it on 100+ FPS. Costs about 5 dollars on steam.

    I think CamStudio is free, and so is Xfire, which has a recording function as well (albeit it's not as good as Fraps).

    You have to pay for the good ones. Most of them have free versions but they are very limited. I don't use the normal free ones that Rico mentioned so you could try those. And off course, you can also borrow a Fraps code from a friend.
