Honestly a communist society just sound boring to me. Say what you will about our government at least it's entertaining.
I'd rather be bored and have a two hour something work day with good pay and be able to have meaningfull input in the management of society, then having my country blackmailed into austerity measures and having to face the very real consequences of suddenly having my parents pay about ten-fold of what they usually need to pay in a year to get me educated with a possibility of having fines running in the thousands of euros when I fail a course. Plus you could go skydiving or something when you're bored.
Because there's no competition between companies. There's no real need to upgrade your products. Their whole purpose is just to provide the people of their basic needs. In East Germany you only had those crappy Trabants. They were friggin' expensive and you had to wait years for those things...
I know its kinda a dick move, but those regimes werent communist nor were they socialist. Plus even though as bad as the eastern-european command economies where you cant put everything down to the lack of compitetion, you need to take into account the fact that eastern-europe and russia were very backward areas when the bolsheviks took power and were much more destroyed then the west during world war II, they thus had to from a worse position, then off course they couldnt get any foreign investments, many eastern-european and particularly eastern germany had to face stripping of its industry as war payments to russia,...etc.
You have shit pay but there's no taxes, guaranteed job, house, food, education, medical care etc. If you join a hockey team they will buy gear for you. Sure you don't have Tv in every home, but that's why there are community buildings that have Tvs. At least in late(ish) soviet model.
1. No you didn't, I just haven't posted yet. I clearly stated that I would be busy. 2. Your sig is WAY too big. Shrink it before a mod catches you.
Vague concept, Lenin asserts that it would simply amount to democratic working class organization to fight off the counter revolution or something, anyways im pretty sure they didnt mean it in the sense of a literal dictatorship.
Leninsm is a more "practical" take on communism than say Marxist. Leninsts want to transfer a country from capitalism via socialism to communism using a vanguard party. Like baby steps ya know? Technically it does not require dictatorship. Communism and democracy can go well hand in hand, but you are still sacrificing allot of economical, personal (not private) and political liberty.
Leninists are marxists, and pretty much every marxist group claims legacy to lenin, so I am not sure what you mean by this. I am pretty sure most marxists want to transform a capitalist society to a communist one through a socialist society, that is not limited to Lenin, so no I dont know. Not sure what to make of this and where you got this from.
