Just gonna point out that... Britons and Gauls are Celts, and Seleucids, Parthia and Sassanids never existed at the same time.
Yes I know this but CA will probably go about the same way they did in the original RTW with the Seleucids and Parthians existing in the same time. And I only said the Celt faction because I've been hearing some say they want a strictly Celt faction.
Or do what Eb did and let you recruit their native units... I doubt they would include them. Probably 4 turns a year. I dont think they will have rebels at the start. I literlly think they are gonna include a ridiculous amount of factions. Wasnt Parthia a huge part in the destruction of the Seleucid Empire No they are gonna make it realistic this time.
Flaming pigs were actually documented to be in use in historical accounts so it's not that unrealistic to be able to train them. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_pig
I really hope that they make the game much more realistic. Mainly in the factions, there should be some changes: for example, instead of having a faction called Spain, or Britannia, or Gauls, it should be playable a certain tribe with great historicall importance who are part of those regions, like the Lusitanians for the region of Iberia, the Arverni for Gaul or the Iceni for Britannia. About the Helenistic factions, I would like to see a better representation of Greece (for example, Greece should be divided by two factions, the Aechean League and the Aetolian League, but that doesn´t mean that they should both be playable), while Macedonia or Epirus should be playable (I would like to be the second one).
I hope the Cantabri are in the game, But too many Celtic faction would make the Romans too powerful, there has to be a strong Gaulic faction to counteract the Romans.
Or strong German faction. Also who thinks that the spearmen, that the Germans had (in Rome 1), who could form a phalanx, were overpowered and stupid fags.
They better make everyone playable, or at least make a crappy .ini file which you can easily edit to make everyone playable.
Your telling me that a bunch barbarians with little to no organization, can form the hardest most sophisticated battle line without the help of a Commanding officer or unit structure?
ya CA came out and recognized how difficult it was for people to mod empire and napoleon, so they're probably learned from that. I bet Darthmod will make one for Rome 2 which will make the game even more epic
Will they release mod tools, or will they make the files more accesible.? Rome 2+Steam workshop= fucking awesome
If the game will get a big Steam release, I expect it to get Workshop support in the early weeks after release.
