Well actually....if I'm not being serious then it means that I'm really not doing anything besides just posting some random thing to express how terrible I think Duke's position is. I think you're being too serious about it.

Russia shouldn't suffer for anything. The government did something wrong. NOT the people. You don't punish people for the actions of their leaders, especially not when they have no choice with their leaders.

When you say "Russia deserves scorn" you are referring to the people dipshit. Otherwise what the fuck are you talking about? You're going to scorn random mountains, forests, and tundra just cause Russia has had a bad run?

Or, you know, he could be referring to the sensible thing, their government. Always about race and nationality with you, though.

Also, fuck anyone who wants any thread locked for any reason. If you don't like the discussion, then don't participate, or hell, tell us about how you don't like it. But sweet Jesus stop asking to lock the thread, you intolerable motherfuckers.

Like Kali said, Russia is the government. Russians are the people. Think before you post.

Well defending Russia.. I guess their government isnt that well used to democracy, I mean it is their first time under any kind of democratic framework after centuries of autocratic centralized rule. In other words, give them a break... They're trying to adapt to it, but they didnt really have a great time with it when it first came ( Yeltsin ).

And the government deserves our scorn why?

I mean what do you expect from a country that spent like 75 years under an oppressive communist regime?

    Yes, these things take time.
It's actually doing relatively well introducing democracy in the context of history.
Sometimes we in the west forget how difficult introducing democracy is.
Britain started the process about 700 years ago, and we still haven't got it quite right.
