Relax guys. The greatest war movie ever made was Glory. As much as I like letters from iwo jima and saving private ryan, Glory has them beaten. You don't have to be interested in the American civil war to like this film. On a side note, they really need to make a triple-A film on the battle of Stalingrad because Enemy at the gates was simply not that good at conveying the sacrifice of that fight nor was the acting and story very good. It was entertaining but just felt like it was missing something. The one thing it did do well though was in showcasing the tactics used during the battle so I commend it on that front.
SPR is the best, Ive watched enemy at the gates,Stalingrad *german perspective*, Das Boot, Cross of Iron, Letters of Iwo Jima, Downfall, and some other ones. But SPR is the best, Das Boot second, and then Downfall, imo But my favorite part in SPR is the part where Jackson dies to the Stug assualt gun, ive had fights that what killed Jackson was a an assualt gun not a tank, people say it was a tank, I Raged so hard...
I think it was a tank but...He shouldnt have died in the movie anyway I thinnk they should have made him survuve
He was killed by a tank which had a stug assult gun on it. like you don't get a tank with an 88 flack cannon on it and call it and 88. And watch some asian war movies like assembly, brotherhood and 71 into the fire there all better than spr actully 71 isn't but watch it anyway!
