That's a simplified version of what you two just said, which Joe followed up by agreeing with Chelsea, as if you two had just made some great logical deduction. Anyway, now that we've covered what it actually meant, let's go to what you two seemed to think it meant.

Here's what I assume you guys were thinking. Joe doesn't like the recent changes, so he says that because the mods are not corrupt, the recent changes are the problem. Chelsea also does not like these changes, so she says that because the mods are not corrupt, there is no problem. This does not make sense. Joe already said that the mods were not corrupt, which you agreed to. Therefore, in saying that there is no issue, you contradict your intended message. You have said that the mods are not corrupt, but that you take no problem with the proposed changes. The only way that Chelsea's statement would have worked would be if she said it in response to this-

You see, if someone responded to this statement with Chelsea's statement, it would be valid, but because no one ever made a statement like this, Chelsea's statement was completely out of place.

That would never, ever happen. In cases which aren't clear cut spammers who just sign up to spam all bans are discussed in the mods forum. It has to be a timed issue where action is required right then to ban without that.
