While I agree somewhat that if it were me, speaking from the perspective of one who does not have kids, a wife, comrades in arms, etc., I would want to live to see my kids grow up, but that is only because I live in a completely different world from Matt. If the US went to war with Iran, there would only be one person I know who I would have to worry about. So I cannot say that Matt is immoral for wanting to fight.

Some people believe that the destroyer of a nation is and will always be a war between another nation. In this day and time, with the United Nations and the Geneva convention affecting war, and the rapid increase in technology, I would argue that there is a new way to destroy nations, it still involves war, but it will destroy both nations regardless of which of the two wins, that way would be a collapse in the value of a country. A collapse in military funding, business' and people, and thus is open to a new conflict.
