yeah, Messi is just way better than Ronaldinho now because he doesn't dive too much and try to make goals. And how did Arsenal lose? dammit.
I happen to remember a goal of Arsenal last CL season where all of the Barcelona midfielders and forwards were arguing with eachother when they lost the ball. Just saying. And Messi is mostly better than Ronaldinho because the latter put on twice what Messi weighs. And isn't it high time Arsenal got a new manager? Every single year Wenger says he's looking to the future and gets a bunch of young French players who can't handle the Premier League who're sold the next year...
Looking at them both at their primes I'm going to go with Messi because he creates just as good as dinho ever did and he can finish 10x better then dinho ever could. I'm still going with the greatest finisher of our era to be Ronaldo, but Messi is making a hard case for him to be on that kind of level (and the Zissou level). Arsenne likely will never be fired. He fields a fairly competitive team year in year out despite the exodus of talent, and after what he accomplished in the past, he's probably set for life.
I agree with that too, not because i'm brazilian, but because he always found a way to make goals, I'd say Messi is on his level but not better.
I feel like Ronaldinho was more of a trick guy, whereas Messi can really use his speed, and most tricks of him are subtle leg movements. Both are very effective, yet in a slightly different way. Ronaldinho also has a very good shot or free kick. The problem with Wenger is that while he does have a good team, he never wins anything. They start off very well, and then arse it in the last few matches. Last season, I think they got one or two points out of the last 6 games. Yes, they have had some bad luck with injuries and referee decisions (although United got effed over a couple of times as well), but it seems like they lack something. For instance, since the good ol' days with Henry and Bergkamp, they haven't had a decent striker, someone whom you can trust to make 30 goals a season. They've also been getting an increasing amount of red cards, although the one from Van Persie against Barcelona must've been the most biased card I've ever seen given. He indeed was very good at finishing, although in that position, I'd rather have someone that plays like Henry, Ibrahimovic or even Bergkamp, whom I find to be one of the most talented Dutch players ever (although he can't weigh up to the likes of Cruijff and Van Basten) myself.
Wenger needs to spend money on bigger players instead of young fellas its too much of a risk for such a big club and we have seen how big teams drop like Leeds
Well, not spending money works better than you might expect. I mean, pretty much all clubs in Spain can't pay their players anymore, so now they'll starve because they don't get their millions yearly anymore. Anyway, I think if you'd combine the debts of United, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona, you'd probably be around 2 billion. And somehow the forum subscriptions don't work, no idea what's up with that. I had the same problem a few days ago...
Brazil isn't winning games anymore because we don't have players that are top scorers, when we had Ronaldo, Rivaldo and before them we had Romario. With them Brazil simply dominated the games, we still get to control the ball a lot, but it doesn't matter if you don't have skilled scorer, the only good one I can think of now is Luis Fabiano.
That's the thing though. Arsenal have money to spend, they're one of the few clubs that are actually in the black. Maybe that's why they don't get rid of Wenger, I understand he has a master's degree in economics.
True, Arsenal isn't in debt, and heck, usually when they buy expensive players, they end up being...well, not too good. Reyes, anyone?
Their cheaper ones aren't much better. Wenger deserves a knighthood if he can offload Bendtner for £9 million.
He has to buy a few experienced players to lead the team and alot of these players may look good in there local teams/reserves but putting them up into the premier league is a pretty big risk and Arsenals season hasnt got the greatest start
Arsene's preblem is that he seems to be only looking at the short term (which might give some indication as to his own future plans). Mikel Arteta will be little more than a backup player and a loan deal for Kaka isn't really likely to inspire confidence about the team's future.
Please take Kaka from us. We have to much talent in that area and playing Kaka only stunts our younger players growth. I don't watch Arsenal that much but it seems like Arsene is good at developing talent and maximizing the return he gets on people. I'd agree and say that if they get one marquee striker or scoring forward they'd be in a better position, but he seems to be bad at evaluating outside talent. Remember, berbatov was supposed to be the guy who comes in and nets 30 goals, so I don't think we can assume that he has the ability to pick out someone in the market to come in and do that.
Arsenal can't afford Kaka apparently, hence the intention to take him on loan. As for buying a striker, I don't think they've recovered from losing Henry, although Berbatov was Fergie's mistake.
Why lazy? His job is to get the ball and shoot it in the goal. The game isn't just about running around everywhere. Especially if you're a striker like Berbatov, you just need to be in the right place at the right time, which is a thing he's very good at. I don't know how Kaka would work at Arsenal, but is Miyachi able to play yet, or will they let him play at another club for another year? He did well at Feyenoord, but that;s in the Dutch competition, which is absolute shit compared to the Premier League.
