I really wish the forums would treat the red menace with the same level of disdain as they do libertarians. On the one hand you've got crazy bastards who want to force you to sacrifice a very large portion of your personal wealth for people you're never going to meet, and on the other you've got crazy bastards who want you to stake your future on nothing more than market forces. Well, obviously one of them is better, but they both deserve scorn.

    I am. Sup.

Ignoring that, I feel that it is best to compare current issues with similar issues in the past. For example, if Hitler read up on Napoleon and learned it was cold in Russia, he may have had a better idea. Or, for that matter, let his generals fight the war and not get included whatsoever.

If a people becomes oppressed due to beliefs, then what chance is their of uniting as a single nation? I am proud of my heritage and dual-citizenship, being Mexican and American. However, I admire Canada due to their multiparty system. We have to choose between one or the other and maybe some oddball. Generally, we choose either left or right with our votes and both sides consistently mock the third party. In Canada, it looks like corruption is far less common due to having multiple political enemies (or at least it looks that way, I admit I know very little of Canada).

Am I wrong to think this?

About that being new thing: don't ask Ler questions that aren't rhetorical. Even then, be prepared from some truly disturbing responses.

Almost none of the people on this forum would lose standard of living from socialism, most would see a increase.

That is because a majority of our third parties are insane & bring nothing new to the table. However the Third Parties have just as much freedom as the rest of them. The people can vote for them. If they poll at 15% they can make the debates.

Socialism is way too broad to talk about like that.

Do you have any idea how long Ron Paul has been around ? Jesus did you just crawl out of the crib?

So what you're trying to say is they have absolutely no money to market themselves and half of you Americans are too dumb to even know the difference between TWO parties much less parties they would have to do research to even discover.

Not saying this is any different than anywhere else in the world, but if you don't start with a ton of money and a legacy nobody will vote for you because people who actually care about political ideology are a tiny percentage of the world.

    Why should I tell you?
And this is why central banks should be controlled by the government.
