A question regarding the KPA, does the training apply to the whole army, or only the special forces? the name is a little misleading

As wierd as this is, I would say the Swiss Gaurd, throughout history they very effectivly fought for the vatican, in an invasion of rome less than 150 of them held off over 2000 german and italian forces. Also they have amazing hats.

This is fairly off topic, but it involves sf...

Does anyone watch dexter? I just got done watching season 2 and I'm baffled at how dexter, while handcuffed, was able to take down a former operator and current law enforcement officer. I know it's just a tv show, but I saw that scene and I'm like, come on man, that's just absurd.

Actually they dont function as british swat.. as i bleieve swat are armed police? Or special police? The SAS are essentually psychopaths on the "right" side of the law. They're seen as the best special forces in the world and often train US marines/paratroopers, Mosad (israely special forces/MI5) in combat. Even the gurkas respect them.

The SAS go through rediculous training and in their history no SAS soldier who has been captured has ever given information away except their name an number. Very british. Plus the SAS have succeded in multiple suicide missions and proved themselves to be one of the best if not the best special forces in the world.

Hell the SAS is really one of the few reasons why i have respect for my countries armed forces... Although they're over zelous and if they're sent into somewhere to kill someone/something they will do it. They arnt used to capture/obtain targets unlike SWAT....

Yeah sorry english history/army history is one of the few things im good at lol xD

I hate the SAS especially since they shot 3 men who were unarmed in Gibraltar because they thought they had some weapons or detonater

The SAS dont show themselves unless they are going to kill someone... they're good assasins/soldiers not so good on policing. They are no longer allowed to "police" areas or get involved with policing they're purly soldiers. And i really wouldnt want to be up agianst one of those guys... i mean not only are they build like a brick s**thouse but they're also pretty damn psychopathic... infact i believe my dads cousin (whats that my second cousin?) said that most of them would fail a normal military psychological evaluation, except for the officers.

Also when was that? Ive never heard of them killing anyone in gibralta? Especially as its not really english soil...

But yeah, they're seen as the best special forces in the world and only the french foreign legion ever beat them in a obstical course time and even that was by 00:00:00:10 seconds or something rediculous.

Oh right... wasnt that bad information though? I mean the SAS where given wrong/incorrect information so thats not exactly thier fault... plus the men where known IRA i believe... so thats what the SAS do. Find and silence targets who are a danger to the UK and her government.

It didnt really help though its like the hunger strikes when unarmed men are killed people want revenge they sympathise with them resulting in more members it would gave been easier to injure or capture them then shot them especially shooting someone 18 times never looks good

As a side note... a few weeks back in britain the SAS where doing a mock stakeout... they where in a van on some housing estate and every hour one or two of them would get out check out the area and get back into the van.

Anyway... a guy was going along the road breaking into cars and he broke into the bakc of the van. Only to see 6 heavily armed men wearing all black looking back at him. He ran down the road and four of the SAS followed him down said road. Apparently he tried to attack one and they put him into intensive care... I quote from the paper "According to the drs. the youth wont be breaking into anything for the foreseable future."

    I think thats hilarous personally.

Also about the SAS killing those three men... i totally agree. But the SAS dont capture people. They are trainied 1 bullet 1 kill. They aim for the head or the heart nothing else. If you want ot capture someone you use the paras or normal soldiers. If you want someone dead or something prevented you use the SAS. They are killing machines and most of them are mercanaries after being discharged from the army. Most of them would have been mass murderers if they hadnt joined the army, thats the sort of guys that make up the bulk of the SAS. So really... i agree with you, but honestly thats not what the SAS do...
