The stronghold series is a good collection of games. The point of the game is to defeat your opponent like in a regular RTS, except the gameplay is more realistic than other good games such as Starcraft II or Age of Empires. You not only have to kill the enemy lord, but also keep your people happy or they will leave-Stronghold is one of the most realistic game i have ever played-Check it out!
I agree the Stronghold seeries is a pretty epic strategic series, really makes a person feel like they are in the middle ages
i have only played stronghold legends, while its a amazing game, i prefere settlers 4 and age of mythology
Is the game worth buying? Cause Wal- Mart (I know its bad) has the entire series of Stronghold games in a box for $20
I personally think so but after a while it starts to get boring. I think crusaders was the first strategy game game I played though so...
I played Stronghold 2 when it first came out for about a year. It was really fun, but I never really enjoyed the aspect of "starting over" at the start of each new level. Who wants to surmount impossible obstacles and build a massive army just to start over from scratch on the next level? Not me. Not me.
I play Stronghold 2 sometimes but Crusader was beast. Stronghold 2 has that crap Honor and gong pits and crap too hard.
I like that i dont know why i just like it lol It would be cool if you could bring in a bit of your previous army but lit didnt really matter to me.
the first two stronghold games were awesome, as they could be really easy and really hard, and it wasent too complex, but not too easy either. stronghold two killed the fighting system and made it way to complicated, and stronghold legends was just... idiotic. i am all for mythology games, but dont get age of mythology in my stronghold!
This game is totally worth buying, although there are free downloads of the full game online, but i would recommend getting the entire series when you still can.
I'd probably like it, but I'm more of a Grand-Strategy Game I guess. The idea of restarting each 'level' is unappealing although I put up with it. I prefer the idea of keeping an army constantly and not having to completely rebuild it.
