Also I think the romans were one of the most disciplined armies in history, very, very effective.

Would knights be considered in this? I know they weren't an army, but they surely had a lot of training.

We're one of the best fighting forces in the world, i would say that to the French troops, but you've made me change my mind, so i'm just going to stick with the facts and say your troops wave white flags about.

Na, i would stick up for troops now'll days, even during the WW1/WW2. I mean, you were on are side in the first place. I've not really seen your troops fight in the modern days, but i have seen some training footage.

Remember that the rules are you can't choose an army after the WW2.

I didn't read the rules, but the British army has been well trained since "The empire on which the sun never sets" times.

I would say in terms of training none of the armies of the Napoleonic era. They "trained" on the battlefield, and while they were surely crack troops, even Napoleon's earlier armies weren't really well trained going into battle.

look we all know that the Stalin and the martians Russian army was the best, their "shoot while moving" tactics saved the world from imperialist confetti men, green blobs, purple (blue) elephants, and octopus Hitler.

But it can't be after WW2 and they still threw themselves over at the meatgrinder. Also after tanks were introduced, the concept of a well trained army kind of died.

I have to go with the Wehrmacht in WW2 as being the best trained overall. Thankfully, Hitler mismanaged them in almost every way imaginable as the war went on. The funny thing is that the British had an elaborate plan to assassinate Hitler at his Bavarian retreat in the Alps but called it off because he was proving to be such a help for the allies with his poor decision making.
