Well you know how people will always go find some stray verse of the Bible that says to nuke the whales in the name of Jesus? Kind of like that.

Of course there is no proff. But we're not discussing proff right now. We're discussing the Bible.

"O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us. Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones."

They sound pretty badass to me.

Sure, for exactly the same reason that if you got a bunch of people that don't believe in unicorns to write their manifesto and compiled the differnet writings it would contradict itself as well.

Then again only one of those three groups would claim the compiled work was divinely inspired.

Eh, I was enjoying the conversation before you guys decided to be all "fair" and "objective". I've dealt with enough fundamentalists that I can't help but rip on the contradictions.

Edgy atheists are probably about as stupid as fundamentalists.

I didn't call myself edgy, I just said the conversation was fun until reason was introduced.

Its a book, simple as that. or better yet a collection of books that contradict themselves.

If you read the Bible objectively it's a pretty badass fucking story. Gruesome, gory, depraved. Well, at least the Old Testament. I've only read the New Testament enough times to shut Christians up when they quote out of context.

I follow it as law. I can't dismiss it too much.

It was a couple of months ago and it's still on the first page of the forum it was in. I still don't know everything here, it's only been a day. Apologies.
