Not sure if sarcasm or genuine compliment....but if it is a compliment then thanks. I plan to join the Peace Corps when I graduate for at least a year and then hopefully do some form of political activism (No way my parents have enough money to send me to college). Maybe any connections I make in the peace corps could help me into college so I can go with my dream and join the CDC, but I'm not holding my breath. Fair enough I guess. @Kali, happiness is subjective. For you it obviously makes you unhappy to give up things for the benefit of others, which is pretty much the default view of first world citizens. So don't get too mad at him about that @Karakoran. As for me and Kara (I assume), it makes us unhappy to learn that people across the world are suffering, and at least for me I'd be happy to give up things to help them, hence my decision to join the peace corps. @The Shaw, keep calling people mentally deficient bud, you're really helping your side.
Mexico is so dangerous now, and sometimes there are boats loaded with pot found around the coves where I live, does legalizing marijuana reduce the problems of narcocartels, or just accomidates them? I would really like to know that. This isn't the thread for it though.
@General Mosh There's no way you failed to recognize the context in which I said that. Stop trying to invalidate me or my beliefs. @darthdj31 The first one.
I was more referring to the fact that since this thread began you and Kali have been spewing insults left and right against "reds and commies". I am also pointing out the fact that this has failed to impress anyone and just serves to give some substance to your already hate filled arguments. Perhaps if you had simply stuck with a calm explanation of your silly notion of uplifting the lower class or getting rid of them or replacing them with other labor or whatever the hell you guys meant, then I would have put some thought into it. As things stand, your presentation was poor and unconvincing and has simply made me oppose your idea of a utopia instead of embracing it.
^I like it when Mosh argues with Shaw and Kali. Because no matter what Mosh says, it came from Mosh thus no one should ever take it seriously.
Well, no one should ever take what I say to Kali and Shaw seriously because you know I'm an immature child blinded by hate and stuff. I love you Kali! I love you Shaw!
Yeah guys the population will only reach 14 billion. I mean that's only double the amount of people currently here. We can handle that right? I mean we may be struggling to keep 7 billion people fed but 14 billion shouldn't be a problem!
Come on mosh. Walk away from the dark side. It's an intelligent debater and a pothead, or a 13 year old who will probably be a capitalist by the end of the year again anyway.
No. Its been estimated that our world can support 11 billion people if environmental laws are the same across the world and renewable energy is embraced, as well as sustainable logging and farming. But 14 billion is a stretch. The reasons we have problems feeding 7 billion is not environmental. There is more than enough food in the world. The reason is, most of these people are living in impoverished areas where food is not being produced or sent to. I'm in no way on Kara's side, he's insane. I'm not socialist. More like I'm on the neutral side. If Kali and Shaw had gone about it the right way like Demon, then I would be on their side. Unfortunately, they're natural pricks and Kali's kill the useless people thing kind of scares me, so no way am I ever siding with him on anything vaguely to do with geopolitics.
And where do you think the majority of those 7 extra billion people are gonba be born? In those same areas that are gabbing famines now. Now do you see my point? No amount of new world Iordwr socialism crap is gonba change that.
Africa and India are having the largest increase in population right now, while industrial places like Europe are decreasing in birth rates.
