It's probably not very different from where you live. You and me both. Even the actual voters seem to be ashamed since hardly anyone admits they voted for them.
I just read about him, and he seems like what you could call: "a good man". But, do I have to be ashamed if I don't know this guy?
Indeed, under certain conditions. If you're just depressed they aren't going to end your life unless they have a good reason to think you can't be treated properly.
I get so tired of that prejudice... Speaking of prejudice, it made me think of this 18-century picture which shows of exactly what prejudice means (the smoke that looks like it's coming out of the Dutch guys ear probably is smoke from his weed):
Well, Herr Stressman, I don't think the Kaiserreich ever celebrated the imperial monarchy with loud techno music and people dancing on boats and drunk at 11 AM. Also, not even the current German monarch pretender wants the monarchy back: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...-Royal-Family-says-heir-to-German-throne.html Anyways, NL is cool in my books.
Sadly, we have no celebration like Queen's Day here. I guess the closest we have here in spirit are the beer festivals like Oktoberfest, Gaeubodenvolkfest, Dult, Plaerrer, but these are mostly Bavarian or southern German things. In the north up in Cologne, they have Karneval, but it's a completely different party feeling. The Tag der Deutschen Einheit (Day of German Unity) is so somber and boring compared to the insanity you see in Amsterdam on Queen's Day.
I know that this hasn't much to do with the topic, but it's too funny to keep it for myself! Every Brit should watch this!
The other thing I think when of hen I hear Holland is dirty dutch.Btw dont play the discrimination game against me I could find a few 100 newspaper cartoons about mocking Irish
