I took over the netherlands as Germany in WWI and gave half of it too france so this Superthread is TERMINATED!!! Forces of Evil: 1 Them: 0
If only Victoria II was real life Whenever I played as the Netherlands in the first Victoria, I always tried to take over Belgium (how dare they leave the kingdom!) but the British would intervene. Sad face.
So was Apeldoorn, the year before. Because its royal family were dictators. Ours aren't. The Oktoberfest would be awesome to have here. But we have Queen's Day (blèèèh). Playing as the Netherlands in Victoria? Wouldn't that be boring as hell?
I have seen one on Youtube... By 1836 the Netherlands has pretty much lost its position on the globe and is no longer a major power... He was unable to turn the Netherlands into a great power, but he was able to build quite a large colonial empire that at its height consisted of large parts of Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East...
No, it was a fellow named Adonay96... I think he's American, but his channel says that he's from China... Here's part 1... Although he started that campaign more than a year ago... ...he just finished it recently.
Actually, it was a pretty challenging but fun game! I was unable to take back Belgium, but I was able to build a large empire in Southeast Asia, took modern day Pakistan, snatched away all of Arabia and had a nice colonial empire in Madagascar and East Africa. Back in the Netherlands, I created a cushy democratic welfare state that attracted a number of immigrants and built a sophisticated industrial base. I ended up being 9th in the game, which wasn't too bad. But this was the first Victoria. I have no idea how difficult it is with the second one.
Haha, we had kind of an Oktoberfest here...although it was in November. Oh well, we did have lots of beer and sausage.
That's not toooooo retarded, man. Oktoberfest does traditionally start in September, so it's not off.
Did you guys know that the first submarine was made by a Dutch guy? The English king ordered it, and according to the BBC it actually worked.
