You are wrong, and you contradict what you just said. Spam posts are regularly deleted, and they are deleted from view. Not permanently. It can be done multi-post. And you did indeed say it was regularly. You said it was 40% of the deleted posts, which is relatively huge.

So do mods have like two times bigger threads than other members or something? Because all those spam posts and people who have deleted there own posts must be everywhere...

    Unless they're permanently deleted, apparently.

Not really, mostly just people who accidentally double posted

Oh alright. I just have this image in my head of mods seeing a bunch of spam posts and randomly deleted fragments of posts.

I like how Kali always tells me not to ignore him (while I'm just away), and now he doesn't respond to me either. I think I've made my point. At least he's not stupid and stubborn enough to keep on fighting for a lost case anymore.

EDIT: Well, @Kali? Are you still alive?

Actually that's not true, you were present and I have a number of sources, including my own eyesight, to confirm it.
I can't really respond to what you claim the current moderator abilities are, since I can't see them. I do know that when I was last a mod, temporary multi-post deletion was impossible, and that slightly under half of all post deletions were permanent. I can't speak to the status quo beyond what I've already said, which is that there are two deletion options and that they've both been used in the past.

There are two deletion options, permanent & soft-deletion. The majority of posts are soft deleted however, I hard delete my own misposts, any posts which are copies of others & any spam should we get any.

That's the contradiction I was pointing at. First you say almost half of the posts get hard-deleted, then you suddenly tell me you never said it happens regularly.

Regularity, or constant frequency, is the consistent occurrence of an event over time. Most posts that are/were permanently deleted come in infrequent, moderately-sized groups. As a proportion of total deletion, slightly under half of deleted posts are/were permanently deleted. However, if we were to plot post deletion over time, we'd see a fairly standard rate of one-off "view-hidden" deleted posts, and a few large clusters of permanently deleted spam posts. To say that permanent deletion occurs with regularity isn't true, but it still makes up a significant portion of deleted posts.

    No contradiction.

You can't really argue with those facts Bart, although they may be a little outdated, its still pretty sound logic.

Dammit, I know you're good at your native language! Always out to get the Dutchy, aren't ya...

Anyway, I still don't think that what you said clears up the contradiction I pointed out. In absolute numbers, 40% is still not much. But if you look at it relatively, 40% is regularly, if you look at the amount of times we have to delete them at all. It might not be regularly in absolute numbers, but it is in relatives.

If it doesn't happen on a consistent basis, then it is not regular. There is no way you can change that.

You write a post, the post disappear. You can't explain that!

If I kick you in the nuts three times a week, every week, it is regular. Also if the days I do it are not specified. It doesn't have to be consistent to be regular.

    This argument is completely pointless.

Yes exactly. But if you kick me in the nuts 3 times a week one week, 1 time next week, 5 times the next week, 0 times the week after that, and 2 times after that, its not regular, but its still a lot.

Okay, let's just say, it isn't regular at all. What does it change? In fact, if it's not regular at all, what are we talking about?

I don't knnow, I was just trying to define what is regular and not regular. Other than that, I'm not in this discussion.
