What are your top 5 favorite books/novels of all-time?

    I will start with:
    - The Campaigns of Alexander by Arrian
    - Caesar by Adrian Goldsworthy
    - Alexander the Great by Robin Lane Fox
    - Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare
    - Swords Around a Throne, Napoleons Grand Armee by John R. Elting

Well these are my favorites, so far in life, but lady & gents - which 5 are yours?

This thread is different enough from that one. Top 5 as opposed to just the best.

    Mockingjay

I love tht series just becuz it is just soooo well played out, where everything is unexpected. (except the ending to mockingjay, tht was expected) :D

    Under A War-Torn Sky
    A Troubled Peace

Under a war torn sky really gave u a great idea of what it was like to be a shot down pilot trying to escape Nazi occupied Europe. A Troubled Peace is the sequel, and is this same pilot now trying to find his place in the world after the war

Caesar and Alexander, huh? You mean the mass murderers and republic destroyers?
Napoleon on the other hand, is pretty cool. Pretty nice civil code.

    - The People's History of the United States: It presents America's history from the point of Native Americans and the working class and such, rather than Presidents and wars.

    - 1984: It's pretty insightful, and just plain scary.

    - Sphere: Anything by Michael Crichton is intense.

    - You Are Being Lied To: It satisfies the conspiracy theorist in me.

    - Hiroshima: I like the way it lets you draw your own conclusions.
