    Yes, but I was pointing out that the US as a tendency to support people that end up turning into enemies of the US.

    If you really think about it that was the only Cold War. The US and the USSR never fought each other directly, but helped support countries that were fighting them. Two examples are the USSR suporting North Vietnam and the US supporting Afganastanian.

    We did that before. We traded weapons with Britain, France, and Germany. And Ho Chihn Min, we funded him to help fight the japanese.

    Well when you put it like that, I guess if he wanted to change it to 'year one' anything that got in the way his plan was just a little expendable.
