The sheer amount of ignorance of this thread blows my mind, it's not even funny.

So, you condemn Stalin for killings, and then want to kill him?

    Smart.

No. As long as he doesn't kill me, I am fine with it for the most part.

The only possible way that your figure makes any sense at all is if it's only considering the civilians who died at the front lines during the battle. And even then, it's insanely conservative.

Those states I gave were between 1941-1945 (During the war)

As when it comes to Battle of Berlin my numbers are correct, it is only up to how they are reported. Maybe those over "100 000" did died in soviet offensives around the area, but 20 000 died in actual city.

...or one of you can present an argument to squish the other like a bug?

We still do not no the full mass of the masker carried out by Stalin but I can ensure you that he killed allot of civilians who should not have been killed. why are you sticking up for one of the biggest mass murders this world has ever seen?

Like i have said before about Hitler what is also the same for Stalin he was at the right place at the right time both places Germany and Russia had vast amounts of natural resources what had only had tobe harvested by a person with only a small amount of intelligence.

Now question J.F.K what are your thoughts on Lenin and do you believe that Trotsky would have done a far better job then Stalin, also if you remove the deaths Stalin caused would your opinion change on the man?

    Jesus Christ.

I have presented you with real evidence. It was his five year plans. Stop making stupid observations about "right place, right time" because that is not a real argument, that is only an observation. So far, you have not been able to answer as to why Stalin was bad for the Soviet Union apart from your worthless morals and silly speculation.

Lenin is a great leader and genus only if he had lived for longer his great cause might of had more chance of survival. so Lenin is dead not the end of the world because the is still Trotsky Lenins lap dog with glasses. Trotsky leaves Russia and gets a pick axe in his back so Stalin is leader and no I would still hate Stalin even if he hadt killed so many he was an idiot he new nothing of politics and I think even so the soviet union collapse was way after his death he was the main reason of its collapse.

Fine you want to now why I think he was so bad because he made most people hate the soviet union he allowed america to make out the soviet union was a state controlled by a monster what it was he made communists all around world change the political views because they saw what a so called communist leader was up to. killing its own people. if you love the idea of the soviet union you like me should see how bad he was for it.

Did he really care what the Americans made him out to be? Americans are pussies. They would have never gone to war with him. He could have done what he wanted. As for people not wanting to be Communists, well, they got the truth about Communism. It tends to kill people. They got the truth and they thought that they wouldn't bother with Communism, which was fine. I don't love the idea of the Soviet Union. Communists are boring.

While I agree that Lenin was a great leader though personally i think war communism goes against some of the traditional teachings of Karl Marx and that Lenin should not have highjacked the 1917 Russian government.

Well actually there is a quite a long list of people who where in line to be Lenin's successor, however Lenin's never picked his and was very vocal about not wanting either Stalin or Trotsky to take over.

Yes the master of political monvering and who helped build up the Russian economy to to highest its ever been, Stalin is still widely loved and respect by many Russian people which is far better then can be said for any of Russia's successors after Stalin

Yes because the economics of the country that had shifted so far away from Stalin views because of destalinzation which eventually lead to the SU collapse was so caused by Stalin after his death.

Here I recommend you read this
