When I first heard about "Red Dawn" I thought it was nothing more than a movie that was pure propaganda as it turns I was right "but" what I also discovered was that it was a Kick-Ass Action Movie that is pure propaganda. I really liked this movie, it was cool, and it was Kick-Ass. But I still need to list the facts about this movie. The Facts: 1. Red Dawn is a good summary of America's Cold War Paranoia 2. It isn't a good summary of how to launch a guerrilla war against an occupying force 3. That teacher at the beginning was a retard 4. Actually, pretty much everyone in this movie was a retard But nevertheless it was an awesome movie. What were your thoughts about the movie when you saw it?
Awesome movie... In what way is it propaganda though? That would be like saying Modern Warfare 2, or any game or movie or book that pits the Soviets against the Americans is propaganda AVENGE MEEEEEEE
I always hated the ending of this movie when it shows an epilogue of partisan rock and the movie vaguely implies that the Americans were somehow able to repel the invaders, In my opinion the ending would have been stronger if it ended right at the part where the last two kids were able to escape from occupied territory.
