There was no comedy. The characters? It was a generic harem. I respect that you like Haruhi and Angel Beats, but really, Mayo Chiki was terrible. It's going to get a second series, I'm sure of it, and that's what disappoints me. It should be dead.

Korean Zombie Desk Car was bad, but I admit that it had one or two amusing moments. Sub-par ecchi. HSOTD is entry level ecchi and is embarrassingly uninteresting. That being said, they are among the most popular and I am probably being an ass about it. All of my favorite anime are usually centered around psychological shit with overtly complex stories. It takes a lot to make me interested in any romance at all. It annoys me to the point that I'd rather watch slice of life instead of it.
My favorite is undoubtedly Evangelion, though I'm guessing you've already watched it. If I had to recommend any others, I would go with Kaiji, Welcome to the NHK, Planetes and a handful of others. There aren't much good shows on this season, but there will be the next season coming.
Ive watched a little welcome to the NHK, its good and im really intrested in what a hicagamori( (i think i spelled it wrong) is. The other shows ive never heard of so i might watch them. Have you seen bo bobo bo? Weird show, but i really like it.
Evangelion is truly deep psychological shit (especially the last two episdes of the series). Also, Toast, have you seen the movie "Paprika"?
Don't watch the last two episodes, watch EoE. Now that is something to see. I have seen Paprika. I wouldn't recommend it. There are countless other amazing films.
I've seen EoE and it was one of the best movies I've ever seen, also I didn't mean that the last two episodes were good but that they were really psychological (too psychological even). I've also watched Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0 and about half of 2.0, have you seen them? Btw my mind Paprika was a great movie in a psychedelic way and I'd recommend it.

My favorite anime would be the single Claymore season, though, i dont watch anime too much. also whoever is going to confuse touhou with anime. its not. its a game : P
