That's probably because British people have the greatest sense of humour in the world, and are generally not afraid to not be politically correct in the media.

That's why all our papers here are full of articles about 'political correctness gone mad'. But then I would complain about that because I was unfortunately born without a sense of humour.

Well the image of the British media isn't in the best shape right now, so I think you can be forgiven for thinking they're all a bunch of sleazy phone-tapping mud raking celebrity-obsessed dicks.
