Just started going through the history of Thrash Metal. I just listened to some first releases by Anthrax and Metallica which were only average. However, I've been listening to Colin Stetson, Little Dragon, and some Dream Pop groups like Beach House and that one song by Grimes, "Genesis."
Taste in music is just taste. Being a fuck face and insulting others about it is not admirable. Anyways, I've been listening to mostly: Draconian Novembre Nahemeh Öröm Woods of Ypres Tatu And I just started listening to Graveworm.
Paddy and the Rats(Highly recommended pub & roll) Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra (Also highly recommended) Kispál és a Borz Parov Stelar Band Arctic Monkeys A Day To Remember Flogging Molly
I've recently been listening to a lot of post-rock/metal lately. If anyone's got some recommendations, I'm open to them. Oh, also some D-beat has also caught my interest lately along with crust punk.
What in the flying fuck is "crust punk"? Or "D-beat" for that matter? Can't you keep your music in a single genre, or do you want to appear edgier and underground?
D-Beat is basically Punks trying to copy Motorhead. Crust Punk is music made by dirty teenagers who think they're edgy because they're squatters and they don't bathe. Amebix are a good band though.
I'm not getting tired of jazz anytime soon, but I'll get tired of shoegazecrunknusynthcore within seconds.
Okay, maybe a better way of putting it, I don't listen to one genre because I enjoy more than one genre of music. If you only enjoy jazz that's just dandy, I happen to like more than just one genre so I listen to more than one.
Byzantine(Yes their a heavy metal band), Protest the Hero, Austrian Death Machine(In spite of their campy premise of just being Arnold Schwarzenegger quotes they actually make good metal. The last half of double brutal also had some killer cover songs) and on a completely unrelated note i'm really into Odd Future.
